Located a quarter of a mile before the Pemaquid Lighthouse in a small cape style building on the left side of the road, twelve miles down the Pemaquid Peninsula, is the Saltwater Artists Gallery. The original members of the group formed in 1967 and operated as the Waldoboro Gallery Association. In 1998 they purchased the building where it is now located near the crashing surf and salt air across from the Bradley Inn on Pemaquid Point.
Featuring the of Jean Kigel, as well as 27 other artists - including an eclectic mix of paintings in various mediums, jewelry, ceramics, printmaking, raku, stoneware, blown-glass, fiber arts, and metal sculpture
Hours: 10 AM – 5 PM daily through September; weekends after that through October 9.
Public Reception: July 8 5-7PM
Silent Fundraising Art Auction: August 19 all day
